Neighborhoods: where do you fit?

City Center / Vesterbro

Close to Jomfru Ane Gade (the nightlife street), the waterfront, and Friis. Lively, urban, good supply of 2–3 bedroom shared flats.

Hasseris

The "posh" Aalborg: large villas, green streets, a bit more grown-up. Families and PhD students.

Vestbyen

Student-heavy, cheap, good neighborhood feel with cafés and second-hand shops. Classic first-mover area.

Østerbro Aalborg

Cozy, mixed, close to the center. Lots of older apartments with character.

Aalborg Øst

Close to AAU's main campus. More isolated, but obvious if you study there and hate commuting.

Nørresundby

On the other side of the fjord via the Limfjordsbroen. Quieter, cheaper, and short distance to Lindholm station.
